Share news, announcements, or any other information and be sure that it won’t be lost in the stream of communication with the Leverice News Feed App.

Turn channels of your choice into readonly mode so that only admins can post there and others just read them.

How to install News Feed App in the worspace?

The News Feed App can be installed only by the workspace Administrator. To install the News Feed App, the Administartor should do the following actions:

  1. go to the workspace context menu and select "Leverice App Store";

  2. select the News Feed App;

  3. add the News Feed App to the workspace by clicking the "Deploy" button.

After the deploy, the App will be moved to the "Deployed" section.

Congratulations! The News Feed App has been successfully installed in the workspace! Now you should install the app in the channel.

How to install News Feed App in the channel?

To install the News Feed App in the channel, the channel Administartor should do the following actions:

  1. create a public channel. To do this, go to the workspace context menu, select "Create" -> "Public";

  2. go to the context menu of the created channel and select "Channel settings";

  3. select "News Feed Settings" in the "Recommended" section.

Note: the "News Feed Settings" will appear in the Recommended section of the Channel Settings, only if the News Feed App has been installed to the workspace by the workspace Administrator;

4. click the "Install" button.

After installing the News Feed App, the channel icon will change.

Now the News Feed App is ready to use! Share important information and help your teammates to stay in context!

Note: the News Feed App can also be installed in automatically created channels such as "Announcements" and "Miscellaneous".

To install the application in these channels, follow the steps above.

Special rights of the News Channel Administrator and Member.

Administrator and Member rights in the News channel have some differences and restrictions compared to the standard channel, for example:

The News Channel Administartor can:

- send posts in the News channel, edit and delete them;

- use only special mentions such as @all and @administrators.

- copy posts from other channels into the News channel and vice versa;

- archive the News channel.

The News Channel Member can:

- read posts in the News channel;

- react to the posts in the News channel;

- copy posts from the News channel into other channels.
