Is your channel tree too long? Do you want to see only particular channel types? The filters allow you to show/hide not subscribed channels, show/hide archived channels, show favorite channels, collapse all channels and locate a current channel.  

The channel filter panel is at the top of the channel tree area. Use the filters you need!
